Ancient history has been a passion of mine for many years, and I never imagined I would find a college that offers such a dedicated course until I visited Godalming College. During an open evening, I was immediately captivated by the department’s commitment to providing a thorough and engaging insight into the subject. The staff at Godalming College are exceptional, using a variety of activities to make each lesson both stimulating and informative, while also ensuring that students are well-prepared for their A Level exams.
The course covers fascinating topics, from the Julio-Claudian Dynasty in Rome to Athenian tragedies such as “Hippolytus” by Euripides. These topics are structured concisely, which makes revision both straightforward and effective. In addition, the department offers an array of engaging online resources that allow students to explore each topic in greater depth.
Thanks to the skills and knowledge I have gained, I am now eager to pursue an Ancient History degree at university. If you have a passion for the ancient world, I highly recommend this course. It is an incredible opportunity to explore history in depth while receiving excellent preparation for future studies.
